Vertical multi-stage centrifugal pump common installation errors:

1, multi-stage vertical centrifugal pump inlet pipe elbow

If there are many elbows used in the inlet pipe, some flow resistance will be added. And the elbow should be turned in a straight direction, not allowed to turn in the horizontal direction, to avoid the collection of air.

2, when the device inlet pipe, the horizontal section is horizontal or upward

This will cause the air in the inlet pipe to collect air, lower the degree of vacuum in the pipes and the water pump, reduce the water absorption of the pump, and reduce the amount of water discharged. The correct approach is: The horizontal section should be slightly skewed toward the direction of the water source. It should not be horizontal, nor should it be tilted upwards.

4, multi-stage centrifugal pump outlet pipe above the normal water level in the outlet basin

If the water outlet is above the normal water level in the outlet basin, the pump head is added but the flow is reduced. If the outlet conditions are limited due to the topography, the elbow and the short pipe should be installed at the outlet to make the pipe become siphon type and drop the height of the outlet.

5, the inlet of the inlet pipe is not in the right direction

1) The inlet of the inlet pipe is separated from the bottom of the inlet and the wall of the pool by less than the diameter of the inlet. If there is sediment and other dirt at the bottom of the pool, when the interval between the inlet and the bottom of the pool is less than 1.5 times the diameter, water ingression will occur during pumping, or debris will be sucked in and block the inlet.

 2) When the inlet depth of the water inlet pipe is not deep enough to enter the water, it will cause whirlpools on the water surface around the inlet pipe, affecting the water intake and reducing the amount of water discharged. The correct device approach is: the water depth of small and medium-sized pumps shall not be less than 300-600mm, and the large-scale pumps may not be less than 600-1000mm.

6, when the bottom valve is set, the last section of the inlet pipe is not straight

If this is the case, the valve cannot be closed by itself and leaks form. The correct installation method is: Inlet pipe with bottom valve, the best in the next section is straight. If the device cannot be straightened due to topography constraints, the angle between the axis of the water pipe and the horizontal plane should be above 60°.
